
Catherine Jane Ford (born 5 December 1969) also known as Catherine Tate, is an English comedian, actress and writer. Her performance on The Catherine Tate Show, which is a BBC sketch comedy series has brought her many awards. She was nominated for seven BAFTAs and an International Emmy Award. Tate played Donna Noble in Doctor Who's Christmas special in 2006. She then reprised her role as the Tenth Doctor's frequent companion on the fourth series. [2] Tate was the main character of Joanie Taylor ("Nan") as a comedy character that she played in The Catherine Tate Show (2009-2015). Tate also appeared in The Nan Movie (2022). In the year 2011, Tate began an ongoing role as Nellie Bertram in the U.S. version of The Office which was a regular until the series ended. [3] She played the part as Miss Sarah Postern in the BBC One sitcom Big School (2013-2014) and was the voice of Magica De Spell on the animated series DuckTales (2017-2021). Tate had six roles in Hard Cell, the Netflix comedy show she co-wrote and co-directed.
