She appeared in Gear the magazine's cover image partially dressed to break this image. Jessica's action caused much debate among her fan base. Her performance in the 6th season brought her out of 7th Heaven. The film Ulee's Gold and her outstanding performance as a teenager in Casey Jackson brought instant fame to her. The performance she gave in the film earned her the title of Best Supporting Youth Actress. Summer Catch is a great example of her talent. Despite her outstanding performance in Rules of Attraction her film was not a huge success. The performance she gave on The Texas Chainshaw Massacre, the horror film that she starred in attracted the attention of the world. Her acting in suspense movies has shown her to be an experienced actor.
